Maintain Shortcut Dimensions for master data

This chapter describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for master data. Beyond Dimensions allows you to maintain up to 6 shortcut dimensions on master data. The app extends the following pages and lists with shortcut dimensions.

Maintain Shortcut Dimensionen for Chart of Accounts and G/L Account Card

This section describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for the G/L account cards. These shortcut dimensions are also displayed in the chart of accounts.

To maintain the shortcut dimensions for the chart of accounts and the G/L account card, proceed as follows:

1. Open the search field (ALT+Q) and search for the page Chart of Accounts.
2. The Chart of Accounts page is displayed. The shortcut dimensions set up are displayed on the right-hand side of the list.
   
3. To maintain the shortcut dimensions of a G/L account, open the G/L account card.
4. You can enter the values for the shortcut dimension under the Dimensions tab.

After entering a dimension value, it is updated in the columns of the corresponding list(s).

Maintain Shortcut Dimensionen for Contact List and Contact Card

This section describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for the contact cards. These shortcut dimensions are also displayed in the contact list.

To maintain the shortcut dimensions for the contact card and the contact list, proceed as follows:

1. Open the search field (ALT+Q) and search for the page Contacts.
2. The Contacts page is displayed. The configured shortcut dimensions are displayed on the right-hand side of the list.
   
3. To maintain the shortcut dimensions of a contact card, open the card of the contact.
4. You can enter the values for the shortcut dimension under the Dimensions tab.

After entering a dimension value, it is updated in the columns of the corresponding list(s).

Maintain Shortcut Dimensionen for Customer List and Customer Card

This section describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for the customer cards. These shortcut dimensions are also displayed in the customer list.

To maintain the shortcut dimensions for the customer card and the customer list, proceed as follows:

1. Open the search field (ALT+Q) and search for the page Customers.
2. The Customers page is displayed. The configured shortcut dimensions are displayed on the right-hand side of the list.
   
3. To maintain the shortcut dimensions of a contact card, open the customer's card.
4. You can enter the values for the shortcut dimension under the Dimensions tab.

After entering a dimension value, it is updated in the columns of the corresponding list(s).

Maintain Shortcut Dimensionen for Vendor List and Vendor Card

This section describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for the vendor cards. These shortcut dimensions are also displayed in the vendor list.

To maintain the shortcut dimensions for the vendor card and the vendor list, proceed as follows:

1. Open the search field (ALT+Q) and search for the page Vendors.
2. The Vendors page is displayed. The configured shortcut dimensions are displayed on the right-hand side of the list.
   
3. To maintain the shortcut dimensions of a vendor card, open the vendor's card.
4. You can enter the values for the shortcut dimension under the Dimensions tab.

After entering a dimension value, it is updated in the columns of the corresponding list(s).

Maintain Shortcut Dimensionen for Fixed Asset List and Fixed Asset Card

This section describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for the fixed asset cards. These shortcut dimensions are also displayed in the fixed asset list.

To maintain the shortcut dimensions for the fixed asset card and the fixed asset list, proceed as follows:

1. Open the search field (ALT+Q) and search for the page Fixed Assets.
2. The page Fixed Assets is displayed. The configured shortcut dimensions are displayed on the right-hand side of the list.
   
3. To maintain the shortcut dimensions of a fixed asset, open the fixed asset card.
4. You can enter the values for the shortcut dimension under the Dimensions tab.

After entering a dimension value, it is updated in the columns of the corresponding list(s).

Maintain Shortcut Dimensionen for Item List and Item Card

This section describes how you can maintain shortcut dimensions for the item cards. These shortcut dimensions are also displayed in the item list.

To maintain the shortcut dimensions for the item card and the item list, proceed as follows:

2. The page Items is displayed. The configured shortcut dimensions are displayed on the right-hand side of the list.
   
3. To maintain the shortcut dimensions of an item card, open the item card.
4. You can enter the values for the shortcut dimension under the Dimensions tab.
